What should I bring with me to my pet's examination?

  • A list of abnormalities such as changes in appetite or attitude
  • A fresh fecal sample
  • A list of food items
  • A list of the temperature and light sources in your reptile’s enclosure

Wellness Exams

We recommend that you bring your exotic pet in for an annual exam, just like you would a dog or cat. Birds and reptiles are especially good at hiding symptoms of illness, so wellness exams are very important. An annual exam from one of our veterinarians can help ensure your pet’s health.

During the wellness exam, you can discuss your pet’s diet, enclosure, and behavior with the veterinarian, who will be happy to answer all of your questions.
