Pharmacy Students – Sept. 2016

Jenna is a 4th year pharmacy student at Shenandoah University.  She is from Meyersdale, PA.  In her free time she enjoys water skiing, reading, watching Netflix, and shopping.  Due to her busy schedule she does not have any pets right now.  She decided to do her rotation at CLAH because she wanted to learn more about pet medications so that she can help clients in the community pharmacy setting.  Her goal is to become a community pharmacist, preferably at Walmart.

Annie is a 4th year pharmacy student at WVU.  She is from Lewisburg, WV and enjoys working out, cooking, and reading.  She has one dog and two cats.  She chose her rotation at CLAH because she loves animals and wants to be able to answer questions about pet medications.  She hopes to work in the community setting and perhaps become a certified diabetes educator.

Cory is a 4th year pharmacy student at WVU and he is from Morgantown, WV.  He enjoys fishing as a hobby and has two Boston Terriers.  He chose CLAH for his rotation because many patients ask him questions about pet medications.  He would also like to work in a community pharmacy after graduation.


Pharmacy Student – August 2016

DSCN1337Mat Kovack is a 4th year pharmacy student at West Virginia University.  He is from Andover, Ohio.  He has an interest in veterinary medications and companies having had prior experience at Pierpont Landing Pharmacy.  (Owner Michael did a pharmacy rotation years ago!)  Mat enjoys sports, gaming, hunting, and fishing.  He has a sheltie at home named Elsa.  Welcome Mat!


Pharmacy Students – June 2016

DSCN1318Sarah Brant is from Latrobe, PA and is a 4th year pharmacy student at West Virginia University.  She enjoys reading and cooking.  She currently does not have any pets, but the staff at CLAH will work on fixing that!  She works at Walgreens and hopes to stay with the company after graduation.  She chose her rotation with CLAH because she thought it would be a neat, interesting, and fun rotation.  She wants to expand her knowledge in veterinary medicine.

Alex Pavlovic, from Buffalo, NY is a 4th year pharmacy student at West Virginia University.  He enjoys Frisbee golf, hiking, and playing tennis.  He has a 7-year old Chihuahua/Papillion mix.  Although he isn’t decided on his plans after graduation, he chose this rotation because it was a unique experience for pharmacy students.

Erick Croaff is from Delbarton, WV and is a 4th year pharmacy student at Marshall University.  He enjoys anything that involves sports and the outdoors.  He has one dog and two kitties at home.  He hopes to work in a compounding pharmacy after graduation and chose this rotation because he loves animals and thought it would be a nice change from the normal pharmacy world.

 


Pharmacy Students – May 2016

Cheat Lake Animal Hospital works with the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy and their students.  Pharmacy students are permitted to choose CLAH for one of their 5-week rotations.  We like to introduce our students as they come through our facility.

Pharm Students June 2016Aubrey is a 4th year pharmacy student from Pittsburgh, PA.  She enjoys spending time outdoors and has two dogs, a guinea pig, a fish, and a snail at home!  She has fostered dogs in the past and enjoys learning about and helping animals of all kinds.

 

Morgan is a 4th year pharmacy student from Martinsburg, WV.  She likes traveling with friends and has one kitty cat named Kiko. She loves animals and has been interested in learning more about what medicines help to treat them.


Pharmacy Student Rotation Block

Nicole is a 4th-year pharmacy student from West Virginia University. She is originally from Garards Fort, Pennsylvania. She is doing her  rotation with Cheat Lake Animal Hospital because wants to learn which medications are safe and effective in animals compared to human medications. Nicole’s hobbies include Pirates games and doing anything outdoors.  She has a dog named Deets and two cats, Henry and Ebony.

Benny is a 4th-year pharmacy student from West Virginia University. He is originally from St. Mary’s, West Virginia. He is doing his rotation with Cheat Lake Animal Hospital because he is interested in seeing a different aspect of pharmacy. Benny wonders if there is life outside school???  But when he is not studying he spends time with his dog Mr. Miyagi, cat Simon, and bird Emery.
